Typical Projects

Green Business Planning

  • Louisville Olmsted Parks Conservancy – Prepared a Green Action Plan that included carbon footprinting and energy conservation strategies and provided a phased and programmatic road map for the client to reach their Green goals.
  • The Green Building – Assisted client constructing a Green building with permit applications and analysis of the most advantageous Green alternatives including solar panels, geothermal applications, and eco-friendly interior finishes. 

Environmental Services

  • Old National Bank – Completed a Phase I environmental site assessments for two non-contiguous properties near the Louisville International Airport.  The first facility included a two hundred thousand square foot warehouse and the second had a fifty thousand square foot warehouse.  
  • Stites and Harbison – Performed a Phase I environmental site assessment for Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington Kentucky in conjunction with the University of Kentucky property acquisition.   
  • Pilot Travel Centers – Conducted Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site in Sonora, Kentucky.  The assessment included soil and groundwater sampling around the active UST pits and the gas and diesel fuel dispenser islands.
  • Halliburton Energy Services – Developed and implemented a Phase II soil and groundwater sampling plan near the hazardous waste storage building at a former fuel blending and production facility in Bradford, Pennsylvania.  Assessed the facility’s air and wastewater discharge permit compliance status.

Lean/Compliance Management

  • Halliburton Energy Services – Assisted client with preparation and submittal of Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) discharge permit application to get the facility in compliance with MWRD regulations.  
  • Louisville Paving – Prepared storm water pollution prevention plans, source reduction plans, best management practices plans, and waste minimization plans including preparation of annual reports.
  • Ameresco, Inc. – Prepared a flow velocity and quantitative yield study for a stream in eastern Kentucky.  The stream use was proposed as a conservation strategy as an alternative to the local potable water source.  The project included assessing the Kentucky Division of Water surface water extraction requirements.

Business Continuity Planning

  • Louisville Metro Health Department – Coordinated and participated in the Louisville Pandemic Influenza Summit by leading a breakout group on strategic approaches to continuity planning processes.
  • Louisville Metro Government – Participated in the Louisville Metro Government, Finance and Administration Cabinet, Continuity of Operations Plan program.  Coordinated and led training sessions for Metro personnel on the continuity planning methodology, collected and analyzed Metro’s continuity data, and prepared the summary report document.
  • State of Missouri – Participated in preparing a Continuity of Operations Plan for sixteen departments for the State of Missouri.  Performed all aspects of continuity planning for the higher education, elementary education and special education departments.  Prepared the continuity of operations plan report for the Missouri emergency management department personnel.
  • United States Environmental Protection Agency – Participated in the emergency response preparedness exercise, Operation River City, sponsored by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region 4. The exercise provided an opportunity to evaluate emergency response readiness in the event of a terrorist attack involving weapons of mass destruction.
