Green Business Planning

  • Confidential Client – Prepared the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) sustainability report for a “Fortune 500” client with global headquarters in Lexington, KY.  The document was prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative G3 guidelines which is an internationally accepted sustainability reporting framework.  The CSR report documents the Company’s environmental, social and economic performance metrics.

  • Premium Waters, Inc. – Developed the Green messaging component of the clients new light-weight bottle program.  The project included carbon footprint reduction calculations as well as graphic design coordination and management

  • Louisville Olmsted Parks Conservancy – Prepared a Green Action Plan that included carbon footprinting and energy conservation strategies and provided a phased and programmatic road map for the client to reach their Green goals.

  • The Green Building – Assisted client constructing a Green building with permit applications and analysis of the most advantageous Green alternatives including solar panels, geothermal applications, and eco-friendly interior finishes. 

Environmental Services

  • Fifth Third Bank – Performed a Phase I environmental site assessment for a 20,000 square foot office building in West Chester, Ohio.  The assessment was performed in conjunction with a real estate transaction. 

  • Your Community Bank – Completed a Phase I environmental site assessment for a manufacturing facility located adjacent to a Louisville Metro Brownfield property.  The project scope included the manufacturing facility as well as two warehouses on adjacent properties. 

  • Nulu Wayside – Performed a Phase I environmental site assessment for the Wayside Christian Mission property on Market Street in the East Downtown Business District.  The subject property included twelve buildings with several over 100-years old and the associated open space and parking areas. 

  • First Savings Bank – Provided Phase I environmental site assessment services for an apartment complex located in south Louisville.  The assessment was performed in conjunction with plans for a renovation and expansion project at the complex. 

  • Old National Bank – Completed a Phase I environmental site assessments for two non-contiguous properties near the Louisville International Airport.  The first facility included a two hundred thousand square foot warehouse and the second had a fifty thousand square foot warehouse.  

Lean/Compliance Management

  • Institute for Lean Systems – Instructor for the Green manufacturing component of the Executive Excellence Training course.  The Green component focused on natural resource conservation issues, carbon footprinting and identifying “reduce, recover and recycle” opportunities in the manufacturing setting.   

  • Halliburton Energy Services – Assisted client with preparation and submittal of Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) discharge permit application to get the facility in compliance with MWRD regulations.  

  • Louisville Paving – Prepared storm water pollution prevention plans, source reduction plans, best management practices plans, and waste minimization plans including preparation of annual reports.

  • Ameresco, Inc. – Prepared a flow velocity and quantitative yield study for a stream in eastern Kentucky.  The stream use was proposed as a conservation strategy as an alternative to the local potable water source.  The project included assessing the Kentucky Division of Water surface water extraction requirements.
